A must-have for crowded kitchens and offices with little counter or desk space, the GPX KC2805 radio delivers high-quality stereo sound to the full spectrum of AM/FM stations without displacing a single appliance. That's because the radio attaches neatly and conveniently to the bottom surface of a nearby cabinet or desk shelf, which is often the only unused space in a room. The location is so discreet, in fact, that guests may have trouble discerning just where the sound is coming from. In the meantime, listeners can enjoy their favorite music or talk radio programs while cooking up a storm or working on a business proposal. To install, merely attach the included mounting bracket with wood screws, then slide the radio into the bracket. Once up and running, you'll have access to not only all commercial and public stations, but also an alarm (to remind you when your favorite show is about to start) and a timer (for cooking or other uses). In addition, the clock's 0.6-inch red LED display is easy to read, even through steam from boiling water or smoke from frying meat. You can set the alarm to play either music or beeping, and should the under-cabinet location prove inconvenient, you can also store the radio on a counter or a tabletop (a stand is included). And as with the best alarm clocks, the KC2805 also comes with a slot for a 9-volt battery (not included) to protect against power failure. This battery backup feature remembers your time and alarm programming should the AC power go out.
