Great Drive at a great price.......2007-03-13

I purchased this drive to go with a new Apple Airport Extreme to create a "airdisk" to access my iTunes music over the network. The drive installed flawlessly, and has been chugging along with no problems. Before I bought this drive I did a lot of research for a 500 gig drive and found a lot of people complaining about the Lacie and the WD Mybook. Sometimes I think those larger companies get away with a lot from name recognition. I'll continue to use Fantom Drives until I experience or hear of problems.

We've used these drives at work for about 9 months, and we put them their paces: a lot of writing/deleting as we process video and audio files.

The case is as small as you can hope for with a 500 gig drive. This is the same case our earlier 320's came in. the aluminum case keeps things cool.
