The Aragon 28K MKII stereo line-level power preamplifier offers the powerful, dynamic performance of high-end boutique products at substantially lower prices. Using fully discrete Class A circuitry from input to output, this power amplifier offers frequency response from 5Hz to 20kHz with just 0.04% total harmonic distortion, a signal-to-noise ratio of 98dB, and incredibly reliable high-power output. It features 6 left/right gold-plated RCA inputs, 2 left/right gold-plated RCA preouts and 2 left/right gold-plated RCA tape outputs, along with a simple-to-use 6-button remote control that operates the volume, mute, balance and power controls. Those same controls can be accessed on the front panel of the 28K MKII.
The Aragon 28K MKII is always ready for use without need for a warm-up period, because even if the power is off, an idle current is passed through the sensitive analog circuitry to maintain proper operating temperature for optimum sonic quality. The 28K allows you to listen to one source while recording another. By rotating the "listen" knob, you select the source for listening. By rotating the "record" knob, you select the source you wish to record from. It's that simple. An optional RPC 120 power controller (sold separately) will allow you to turn on/off your entire audio system by simply turning on/off your 28K. The A/C switching is performed externally to eliminate the additional noise associated with high current A/C power in proximity to the sensitive analog circuitry.
The preamp features a machined aluminum front panel with an engraved Aragon logo and elegant blue LED lighting that perfectly complements the black finish. It measures 19 x 3.4 x 11.75 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 18 pounds.
