The Aragon 3002 2-channel THX Ultra2-certified amplifier is designed to make powerful, dynamic, high-end performance affordable. While somewhat similar in design to the Aragon 2000 series, the 3000 series amplifiers feature twice as many output devices, larger filter capacitors, and bigger power supplies, resulting in improved bass response and enhanced definition and clarity. The 3002 will deliver 300 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 500 watts per channel into 4 ohms for effortless performance from nearly any loudspeaker systems. It achieves its high output using the fewest active components possible for a more dynamic, more powerful, and more detailed performance. As with all the amplifiers in the Aragon 3000 series, the 3002 adheres to Mondial Designs' classic minimalist approach that results not only in better sound, but in amplifiers that consistently rate among the most reliable available at any price.

Most high-end two-channel amplifiers typically employ dual mono power supply configurations. In other words, each channel operates as its own entity and only has as much output available as its power supply can provide. The Aragon 3002 uses a single power supply design called SmartPower, in which a channel could provide substantially more than its rated output for short periods of time by getting more energy from the power supply while the other channel isn't demanding as much. SmartPower enables the amplifier to perform at optimal levels in high-end two-channel audio environments.

The Aragon 3002 features gold-plated RCA left and right phono jack inputs, balanced XLR inputs, and two sets of insulated five-way binding post outputs for each of the two speaker channels. Its clean, contemporary looks include of a machined aluminum front panel with an engraved Aragon logo and elegant blue LED lighting that perfectly complements the silver finish and can be dimmed or turned off in accordance with your preferences. The unit measures 17 x 7.5 x 15.25 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 45 pounds.
