Kenwood VRSN8100 Fineline Networked Audio/Video Receiver is a home-theater receiver that's future-friendly because it's engineered to work with a PC as a valid source of home entertainment. Indeed, as large-screen TV and HDTV sets begin to penetrate the market, they will offer greater capabilities as a computer monitor as well. The VRSN8100 is designed to allow computer music and video to be played through your home-theater system. The receiver lets you interface with your PC via a Wi-Fi® or wired Ethernet network. Navigation screens displayed on your TV make it easy to browse the contents of your hard drive and select audio, video, or still picture files to stream to your home theater system's speakers and TV. There's also a front-panel PC card slot that lets you display photos stored on your digital camera's memory card (adapter not included). In addition, there are 2 front-panel A/V inputs, one of which is dedicated exclusively to gaming systems (it includes an optical digital input for Dolby Digital surround sound when used with compatible gaming systems).
