The RX-9010VBK audio/video receiver from JVC is a multipurpose, premium receiver for music, TV, and home theater. It can become the heart of your home theater system. Built-in Dolby Digital and DTS surround-sound decoding provide you with theater-quality audio from digital sources such as DVDs. JVC's 3D-PHONIC Virtual surround sound creates dramatic home theater sound with just two front speakers, but the receiver gives you the flexibility to add speakers as well. Dolby Pro Logic sound in full digital processing combined with a digital acoustics processor with 7 preset sound fields (large theater, small theater, live club, dance club, concert hall, and concert arena) ensures you get clear sound reproduced the way you want to hear it. A 5-band digital equalizer allows you to create and lock in different settings for each of your audio and video components.

JVC's multiroom/multisource capability allows you to listen to two different audio sources in two different rooms. You can enjoy a movie in 5.1 surround sound in the main room while someone else listens to a CD in another part of the house.

When combined with other JVC audio and video equipment, the JVC CompuLink feature simplifies operations to one touch. Insert a CD into your JVC CD player and your receiver will automatically power up and adjust to your ideal audio settings. CompuLink works with a wide variety of JVC equipment, including DVD and CD players and VCRs.

The LCD RF/IR remote allows you to control the sound throughout the house for both the main room and the secondary room. The remote can also control your TV, VCR, cable, and direct broadcasting systems. In addition to controlling the RX-9010VBK from the remote or front panel, you can operate the unit with the onscreen display, which lets you review commands for your receiver on your TV screen.

The RX-9010VBK allows you to connect your computer to the receiver via a front USB input. Enjoy your favorite music from your computer in high fidelity. In addition to the front USB input, a front S-Video input gives you convenient access for camcorders, video games, or other components.

On the back of the receiver, you will find multiple audio and video inputs and outputs. The RX-9010VBK has five composite-video inputs, five S-Video inputs, and two component-video inputs, along with three assignable optical digital (and one coaxial) inputs that you can designate to any digital source. The receiver provides three composite-video outputs, three S-Video outputs, one component-video output, and an optical digital output for use with digital recording devices.

The receiver is DVD multichannel audio compatible (with 5.1-channel analog input and five separate amps) for connection to existing sources, as well as future multichannel sources such as DVD Audio. High-bandwidth component-video switching is compatible with standard and all high-definition TV formats. It delivers 120 watts of power x 2 minimum RMS in both channels with no more than 0.08 percent total harmonic distortion.
