The NHT Super Audio SB2 is already amazing audio commentators lucky enough to hear pre-release demonstrations. The SB2 breaks new ground for bookshelf loudspeakers in accuracy of timbral reproduction. The two-way speaker, representing nearly two years of design refinement by the engineers at NHT, employs the same 1" fluid-cooled tweeter and 6.5" woofer as the much larger ST4 floorstanding tower, eliminating the ST4's additional side-firing woofer. The 6-5" driver's massive motor structure delivers increased bass output, with extension down to 51Hz! Imaging is precise and revealing when used for stereo playback, and the SB2s are also more than up to the dynamic demands of digital surround sound.
