Buying a lower priced notebook means compromise at some level. Dells Inspiron 2600 doesnt come with all the bells and whistles, but has enough grunt in the areas it really counts. Dells Inspiron 2600 is a competent, low-priced notebook that suits students or office workers who want a fast Intel Pentium III processor . But with a weight of around 3.3kg, it's far from being a lightweight, and lacks the AV frills of pricier notebooks. The new Inspiron 2600 is very similar to the older Inspiron 2500. In fact, it's essentially the same machine, but features a new Intel chipset, the 830MG. Intel describes the 830MG as a low-cost option for integrated graphics, though it does claim a few innovations for improved bandwidth. Dont hold your breath, though. Systems with integrated graphics chipsets typically have worse performance than their non-integrated brethren.Electronics:
