Amazon.com Product Description
Tired of leaving the door open to hear your music on the deck? It's time for a pair of high-quality outdoor speakers like the Atrium 45 from Polk Audio. The speakers each feature all-stainless-steel and brass hardware for years of rustproof reliability and a rustproof aluminum bracket that permits multiple mounting options and full 90 degree rotation: you can aim them to deliver the best possible sound in a variety of positions.

The Atrium 45 speakers have a wide dispersion pattern, and they're very efficient, operating on as little as 10 watts per channel. They're designed to deliver good sound quality across a large listening area, but Polk recommends multiple-pair setups if you want high sound levels in an outdoor setting, as sound tends to dissipate more quickly outdoors than in.

The speakers' white finish is paintable to match your decor or trim color--you can even paint them green to blend with foliage. Their sculpted front baffle and rounded enclosures minimize diffraction (sound reflecting off of hard edges) for more open and lifelike imaging, and their rustproof aluminum grilles offer 55 percent open area for better high-frequency response than speakers with denser grilles.

Sealed-enclosure (acoustic suspension) cabinets result in taut bass, and the speakers' 2-way design incorporates a 4.5-inch long-throw polymer cone driver with butyl-rubber suspension and a .75-inch dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet to broadly distribute high frequencies. Gold-plated, 5-way binding post terminals will never corrode. The plugs also allow hookups in a range of methods, including convenient banana-plug-terminated speaker cable.

The Atrium 45 meets or exceeds ASTM D5894-UV Salt Fog, Mil standard 810 Immersion and Mil standard 883 Method 1009 8 for salt and corrosion tests.

Amazon.com Product Description

Featuring the perfect blend of broadband-like speed, dynamic multimedia capabilities, and cutting-edge design, the MOTO RAZR V3xx is the first Motorola handset to ship with High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) and EDGE technology. The iconic RAZR design is still here, as is the all-metal construction, this time, though, the phone boasts an updated and streamlined design, enhanced media capabilities, a 1.30-megapixel camera, a hot-swappable MicroSD memory card slot, and more. Simply put, the V3xx is the perfect combination of performance and style, and the perfect complement to Cingular service.

<small><b>Cingular, Motorola, and HSDPA high-speed data: the perfect combination.</b> <small></td></tr></table> <B>Design</B>
At .58 inches thick, the RAZR V3xx is virtually the same thickness as the original RAZR. And like the original RAZR, the phone's design takes the standard clamshell form factor to the next level with an impressive, fully-anodized aluminum construction, and 60 MB of internal memory. A large 240 x 320 color display with over 262,000 colors dominates the inside of the top cover, while the outside cover of the handset sports a supplementary 96 x 80 full-color display that can display caller ID pictures, time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. The integrated VGA and 1.30-megapixel digital camera is housed above this display. Use the VGA camera for live two-way video calls at up to 15 frames per second. Up/down buttons are placed on the left side for volume control, as well as the camera button and mini-USB port.

Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad, which is precision cut from a single sheet of nickel-plated copper alloy. A mini-USB port is provided, which, while useful for fast data transfer, can also be used with compatible USB stereo headsets. Note that the phone does not have a standard 2.5mm headset jack. Lastly, a charging port is placed on the bottom of the phone, and an unobtrusive internal antenna is safely tucked away, keeping the phone's design compact and portable.

<B>Calling Features</B>
The RAZR V3xx's internal phone book can hold up to 1000 contacts while the phone's picture ID system allows you to assign pictures to your most common callers. The phone also supports polyphonic ringtones as well as MP3 ringers, allowing you to use portions of your favorite songs to alert you to incoming calls. For times when you want to be discreet, there's a vibrating alert. A built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear while voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names. Speaker-independent technology allows any speaker to dial numbers with the voice dialing system. And because the RAZR V3xx is Bluetooth enabled, wireless headsets for calling, and even wireless stereo headsets for music can be configured with the phone for total handsfree operation.

<B>Messaging, Internet, and Tools</B>
The RAZR V3xx is a messaging and wireless Internet powerhouse. With HSDPA and EDGE technology, the RAZR V3xx delivers broadband-like speeds for downloading, Web browsing, and data exchange. Leveraging these advanced capabilities, the RAZR V3xx allows for live two-way video calls at up to 15 frames per second, over the air music and video downloads, direct media streaming, and more.

Support is built in for sending and receiving pictures, text, graphics, sound and video via messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in still and video camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. And because UMTS and HSDPA support built right into the phone, you'll be streaming and downloading at speeds so fast your head will spin. Used in combination with one of Cingular's MEdia Max plans that supports Cingular Video (additional Cingular charges apply), the V3xx will allow you to play high-quality news clips, sports clips, weather clips, and more--right on your phone. And with Cingular's exclusive partnership with HBO Mobile and HBO Family Mobile, you'll never be at a loss for something good to watch.

<table align=left width=250 cellpadding=10> <tr> <td> <img src="http://images.amazon.com/images/G/01/wireless/detail-page/B000MSBUZO-2.jpg" border=0 align=top></td></tr></table> There's also a built-in web browser for MEdia Net downloads and mobile web browsing. Cingular's MEdia Net service lets you do more than just stream videos--it lets you receive and send emails, read news headlines, get weather updates, download games and ringtones, and more. iTap text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit--a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.

Getting on the Internet is easy with the V3xx. When used with a Cingular data plan and the phone's Bluetooth or USB data capability, the phone can be used as a wireless modem for laptops and PDAs.

A number of handy software tools are bundled with the V3xx including a calculator with currency converter, a calendar and an alarm clock. The phone can also be used with Motorola's Mobile Phone Tools PC application to manage and synchronize contacts, calendar and other data with your PC. The phone also sports an airplane mode feature, which allows the user to safely use the non-wireless functions of a phone (such as music, games, or organizer functions) on an airplane during flight.

<B>Imaging and Entertainment</B>
The RAZR V3xx's integrated 1.3-megapixel camera and VGA video camera bridges the gap between phones and quality digital cameras. Animated screensavers and full screen wallpapers are supported too, so you can set up the RAZR V3xx to suit your tastes. Lastly, the phone supports java-based games and applications.

The RAZR V3xx is a serious music phone. When the feeling strikes you, jam out to your favorite music on the unit's advanced MP3 player. The phone sports a microSD/TransFlash memory card slot, so you can load up all your favorite music and bring it with you (memory cards sold separately). And because the phone supports MobiTV and MobiRadio, in addition to streaming video and TV, you can listen to your favorite radio station via the supported digital radio service--great for times when you feel like listening to new music (additional Cingular charges apply).

The Motorola RAZR V3xx weighs 3.63 ounces and measures 4.05 x 2.08 x 0.58 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 3.17 hours of digital talk time, and up to 330 hours of digital standby time. 3 out of 5 stars Cool design with some "need to get used to" features.......2007-06-11

I definitely like the phone for it's slender design and features. the only thing that gets me is getting used to actually using the phone. trying to make sense of call history, or to quickly access some of your items can be trying for someone who is not as tech savvy with cell phones. i enjoy the phone and it does what it supposed to do very well... make and receive calls!
clear audio quality, no dropped calls so far and a HUGE screen to see things. after reading the guide and sitting down with the phone for an hour or two and re-programming it,... it's a lot more user-friendly. it's as good as any other phone for text msgs.
good battery life and if looking for accessories, definitely look for a snug holster to avoid this phone from feeling loose in its case. You can also find good accessories at Radioshack.

3 out of 5 stars a decent phone for its price.......2007-06-10

this phone is better than the older V3 motorola phone. It has a much better screen resolution and responds faster. But the interface takes a little time and effort to get used to. But on the whole decent phone for its price.

5 out of 5 stars N75 - Unbelievable value for the money.......2007-06-09

This is a very powerful phone at a ridiculously low price. I love it.

5 out of 5 stars Very powerful, versatile phone.......2007-06-01

For years, ever since the "old school" days, my cell phone of choice was always a Nokia until about three years ago, when I opted to upgrade to a Motorola v551. While overall, the v551 was a nice phone, there were some Motorola quirks that really soured me on considering a new Motorola device.

So, when the time came again to upgrade my device, I started to do some real reserach to find an all around good phone. I considered waiting for the new iPhone, but couldn't see plunking down $600 on a non-3G capable phone (first generation to boot). Nokia's were out simply because many of them are not flip phones and even the ones that are weren't aesthetically pleasing. Compounding my problem even further was the fact that even though the RAZR's looked nice, I read way too many reviews that highlighted its many shortcomings. And, it was a Motorola, plagued with the same quirks that I had hated (one example, the fact that I had to create a separate contact for every phone number I entered, even if it was for the same person, another was photo quality and yet another was the charger.)

After reading the reviews for the V3xx, I was intrigued. For one, Motorola revamped its operating system, making it more user friendly. Secondly, the v3xx was 3G capable, had a powerful camera, and could be used as an MP3 device. These were the things I was looking for, and after reading the reviews, I figured I'd give Motorola another chance.

I've had the phone for three days now and I'm very pleased. It has a nice sturdy feel to it, the buttons and "joystick" are easily used and feel solid. The display is very sharp, it takes great photos and has a few photo tools to help make your picture look good. The reception is also very good and phone calls sound crystal clear. The speakerphone is average, sounding just like most speaker phones do (like a tin can.) The internet browser, with the 3G capability, is great and I can actually see myself using the media features as opposed to having it simply as a novelty like I did on the v551. The streaming video and music is great and I hope that Cingual expands the selection of titles as well as length of programming.

I still have yet to try the mobile e-mail function and the mp3 player, but I don't have any doubts that they will perform well also. To be a semi-serious mp3 player, a micro SD card is essential, as well as either a bluetooth hedaset or a 3.5mm adapter.

Perhaps the only gripe I can come up with at this time is the outside display is not as bright as it could be, and I find myself having to look very hard to see what time it is or whether I had missed a call. On the v551, the display would light up bright blue and even when dimmed, the time was still easy to see during the day.

To sum up, if you're considering a phone that that doesn't require serious business use, give the V3xx a try. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

1 out of 5 stars Who cares about the features when the audio quality is so bad?.......2007-06-01

Just received this phone and am very disappointed. The audio quality is hardly better than a walkie-talkie. It's like the person on the other end is using a $2 webcam microphone--they sound digitized, distorted and loud. Further, when they start talking, it takes the Razr a moment to realize it, and thus the first syllable of every sentence gets chopped. I feel like I should be saying "over" after every sentence. I'm considering going back to the 3-year-old cell phone that this Razr was supposed to replace.

And by the way--if you have a fetish for small phones, this is NOT the phone for you. Check it out in person before you make the purchase--when it's open and next to your face, this thing is fairly monstrous.
