NXG Technology's NX-PRO5W indoor/outdoor speakers are designed for durability, versatility, ease of use, and quality sound. You can mount them from the eaves or in a partially covered deck or patio using the supplied mounting brackets or position them indoors on a shelf or on individual stands (not included). You can even use them as surround speakers for a home theater (or, with 2 pairs, as both front and surround).

The speakers come with powder-coated ratcheting aluminum brackets for mounting in a locale of your choice, and the also feature rear-panel brass inserts that accept optional universal mounting hardware--especially convenient if you have existing mounts.

Despite their small size (6.8 x 10.8 x 6.6 inches each, W x H x D), the NX-PRO5Ws each feature a 5.25-inch injection-molded polymer cone with a durable rubber surround and .75-inch ultra-wide-dispersion titanium-laminate dome tweeter. Their ported enclosures enhance bass output for surprisingly full-bodied sound (65 to 20,000 Hz).

The 8-ohm speakers' sensitivity is rated at 89 dB (1 watt @ 1 meter), which means they're easily driven; NXG recommends use with integrated amplifiers or surround receivers up to 100 watts (maximum) per channel. The speakers' binding-post speaker terminals simplify hookups and ensure high-fidelity sound.

There is no loss of functionality or ability to sufficiently charge the phone (Cingular 3125) between this and the standard wire that comes with the phone. Very convenient, excellent to keep in a travel pouch with my travel wall/car USB charger.
