The PN-300 offers you the features and options you really need. Spend less time figuring out your phone and more time talking with friends and family. The PN-300 features a silver and black case, an easy-to-use menu with large font, large dial keys, text messaging capabilities, and a speakerphone for voice activated dialing. <B>Design</B>
Flip open the PN-300 to reveal its clear and bright 60 x 128 full-color screen. A supplementary display on the front cover of the device can display call information, date, time of day, battery and signal strength, and more. A handy 5-way navigation key on the button pad provides access to most of the phone's menus and functions. Keys on the left side control call volume, and the top right side of the phone houses the antenna. There's even a handy button on the left side of the phone that allows you to toggle between the date and time on the external display. Lastly, a charging port is placed on the lower edge of the unit.
<B>Calling Features</B>
The PN-300 can store up to 500 contacts for quick and easy management of phone numbers and email addresses. The phone comes with built-in ringtones, while more ringtones can be downloaded from Verizon's Get It Now service. Lastly, a speakerphone lets you talk hands-free, allowing you the convenience to do other things while talking on the phone.
<B>Messaging, Internet, and Tools</B>
Sending messages with text is a snap with the PN-300. T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit--a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.
A number of handy software tools are bundled with the PN-300 including a calculator, a calendar, a notepad, a voice memo recorder that allows you to record up to 30 seconds of information, a stopwatch, and an alarm clock.
<B>Imaging and Entertainment</B>
As mentioned, the PN-300 is fully capable of sending and receiving text messages. You can receive sports scores, traffic, weather reports, news, and even your horoscope via text alerts (additional Verizon messaging charges apply).
<B>Vital Statistics</B>
The Pantech PN-300 weighs 3.32 ounces and measures 3.43 x 1.93 x 0.98 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 3.38 hours of digital talk time, and up to 190 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 850/1900 MHz CDMA frequencies. The phone comes with a one year limited warranty.
