The AS-P6000 sports a down-firing 12-inch injection-molded cone woofer with dual ports and a built-in 800-watt amplifier designed by BASH Audio. The down-firing woofer allows for flexible room placement and the highest possible efficiency, while the dual vents work together to improve performance and reduce unwanted vent noise. And because the woofer faces down, it's safe from both prying hands and curious paws. More importantly, the injection-molded woofer cone is comprised of a composite, multi-laminate material designed to stay rigid during the most extreme excursion. At the same time, it's light enough to enable fast movement, ensuring an accurate and tight bass response.
In addition, the volume control is conveniently located on the front of the unit, making it quick and easy to adjust the volume. Other features include an auto on/off system that senses signals from the receiver and activates the sub accordingly, a bypass circuit that leaves the sub on at all times or turns it off completely, and a frequency response of 21 to 120 Hz. The AS-P6000--which is recommended for rooms sized 400 square feet or larger--sports a black finish and measures 13.3 by 19.5 by 20.5 inches (W x H x D). The woofer is also backed by a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

It offers a big splash of style in an ultra compact clamshell design, while easy-to-use features provide just the right touch of technology, including a powerful speakerphone and voice-activated dialing. <B>Design</B>
The phone features a traditional clamshell design with a 128 x 128 color display with 65,000 colors. A supplementary display on the outside of the handset can display call information, battery and signal strength, time of day, date, and more. Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad. The top right side of the unit houses an antenna, and a charging port is housed on the unit's bottom edge. There's a standard jack to accept universal hands-free headsets on the left side of the handset.
<B>Calling Features</B>
The VX3400's built-in address book can store up to 300 contacts for quick and easy management of phone numbers and email addresses. The phone comes with built-in polyphonic ringtones plus a vibrating alert and, you can also record your own voice to serve as a ringtone. Voice-activated dialing makes calling your friends, family, and associates as easy as saying their names. The speed dialing feature allows you to dial up to 99 numbers virtually instantaneously, while the built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear. Plus, the VX3400's GPS location technology pinpoints your exact location when you dial 911. Perhaps most importantly for users in rural areas, the VX3400 is a tri-mode phone, meaning it can operate on Verizon's digital networks, as well as on the analog networks that serve many outlying areas.
<B>Messaging, Internet, and Tools</B>
The VX3400 covers the messaging basics with support for sending and receiving text and graphics messages. T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built in to the unit--a plus for mobile email and text messaging users. The VX3400 fully supports Verizon Wireless's optional National Access mobile data service, which allows you to use your phone as a wireless data modem for Internet access wherever you have digital coverage. Using the VX3400's USB data port, you can surf the Web and get your email and attachments on your laptop at average speeds of 60-80 kbps and bursts of up to 144 kbps.
The VX3400 ships with a calendar and scheduler, a voice memo application, and a notepad. An alarm clock, calculator, and world clock are also included, as is the very handy restaurant tip calculator. Never dine without it!
The VX3400 also sports an airplane mode feature, which allows the user to safely use the non-wireless functions of a phone (e.g. organizer functions) on an airplane during flight.
