The Samsung SC-D963 1.1MP MiniDV Camcorder with 26x Optical Zoom features an ultra-compact design with a high optical zoom for superior performance. At the heart of the Samsung SC-D963 is a 1.1 megapixel CCD and 26x optical zoom. A 2.5-inch LCD makes for easy viewing of your subjects, and the camcorder also features a color viewfinder, SD/MMC slot, and 32 megabytes of built-in memory. In addition to video, the camcorder can capture still images up to 1152 x 864 resolution, as well as MPEG4 video recording. With USB 2.0 connectivity, the Samsung D963 offers fast, easy file transfer and PictBridge technology.

Among the many enhancements over previous lines of Samsung MiniDV camcorders include true 16:9 wide mode. When the 16:9 effects are selected, wide-screen footage can be displayed on a digital TV through the Samsung camcorder without any image distortion. Samsung's Wind Cut Plus feature lets users keep original sound and cut only background wind noise, while the Stereo Enhancement feature creates a vivid divide between right and left channels for a full-stereo sound field effect. Additional playback audio effects allow users to focus audio playback on the human voice, music or sound direction, and it also allows users to add echo effects. An advanced interface provides easy navigation of camera functions, and a battery information function provides detailed battery status to let you know when the power is low.
