The Fool On The Merry Go Round is none other than myself. You see I consider myself a fool for pursuing something that doesn't exist and because I know it doesn't exist that's what makes me a fool. The merry go round is symbolic of the repetition of the pursuit. In "The Fool On The Merry Go Round " I've written poems about certain experiences I have had. Some are positive. Some are negative. I've discovered that regardless of the outcome of a relationship, if something as wonderful as a poem could be the result, then it's worth while.
