The dual-platform (PC, Macintosh) Storix Compact Drive is built to take advantage of USB 2.0's fast transfer speeds (up to 480 Mbps), though it's fully compatible with original USB (1.5 to 12 Mbps).
If you'd like, you can use multiple drives on a single computer--each drive will be recognized independently. So if you're not sure how much additional storage you need, you can buy 20 GB now and expand to more later. Storix includes two USB cables since it's easier to use a shorter cable on laptop computers, while a desktop generally needs the flexibility of a longer cable.
