About the Artist
Emil Richards, leader of Calamari, has been behind bars, as he likes to say, since he was six years old. Known primarily for his recording, film and TV work, his quirky and fabulously original "Wonderful World of Percussion," and his last release, "Luntana," Richards "... chose standard bebop as not too many people know me as a jazz musician. I wanted an album that showed where my early roots came from and that I've always loved and played straight ahead bebop."
