About the Artist
New York area jazz fans may have caught me in recent years as the lead trombonist for Diane Moser's Composer's Big Band, The Ed Palermo Big Band, or the NoNoNonet.

For four years, I was the arranger, trombonist, and featured soloist for the popular ska-band The Toasters (Moonska records releases This Gun For Hire and New York Fever. www.moonska.com).

I've played with many popular entertainers, including The Temptations, The Four Tops, The O'Jays, and Buster Poindexter.

I was born and raised in Indiana. I now live with my gorgeous wife and our brood of extremely talented and beautiful children in New York's Hudson River Valley.

Product Description
"Scrapbook" feature my (Erick Storckman) compositions. I'm a trombonist and vocalist. The 10 original compositions and one jazz standard (Back Home Again In Indiana) are arranged for my septet. The style is primarily out of the "hard-bop" school, but the vocal ballads have heavy pop/folk influences as well. My trombone playing owes most of its debts to J.J. Johnson and Tommy Dorsey,
