Editorial Reviews
From the Artist
"My music is a culmination of Gospel and Smooth Jazz. The Gospel-Jazz Saxophonist is a title I take quite seriously. I believe instrumental Gospel music allows God to talk to each person on an individual level, with no words or preconceived ideas to get in the way." Using his deep jazz background and roots in the Church, Rob has created a style that has a Biblical value, yet is easily heard on smooth jazz radio.
Product Description
Rob Maletick is The Gospel-Jazz Saxophonist. "Hand In Hand" is a journey through almost 10 years of Robs professional performing experience. Two international tours through Europe and Asia gave Rob first hand knowledge of how other cultures operate. This album is based on the idea of joining together all these cultures to combat such problems as racial intolerance and violence, while promoting an overall idea that we are Americans, and the fact that we all have different backgrounds is what makes us part of the American dream.
Aside from all of the purpose and concept behind this recording, this is the most innovative music Rob has recorded to date. He has used his talent for having the right musicians to back him up, and it shows. From the first chart to the last, you will be pleasantly surprised. The music varies from modern, upbeat jazzy tempos to relaxing smooth jazz themes. You even get to hear Rob and his band perform live at the First AME Church in Manassas, Virginia. This project has enormous potential to succeed on many levels.
