About the Artist
After nearly of 20 years of performing in gospel venues Carlton decided to venture out on his own in the smooth jazz arena. "Gospel and Jazz are so close in nature anyway, at least in the way that I play it." Says Carlton. He attributes his style to artists such as Bob James, Earl Klugh, and Joe Sample. His first project, "Ride With Me" presents a perfect blend of these influences with of a good mixture of "highway music" and tunes that put one in the "chill down" mode.
