About the Artist
The Swing-O-Matics were formed in late 1998 upon James Victor's return from California where he performed with a swing band in San Diego. The horn section was working in a different project and were looking for a more creative and challenging experience.King Kevin is one of the best Trumpet players in the midwest and one of the best showmen you will ever see.Tommy "The Saint" had been recently working with members of James Brown's group and is probably best known for turning down a gig with Tower of Power.Smitty the musical arranger from Chicago keeps everyone between the lines and on the sheets.The rhythm section keeps the band "swingin".Max and Kevin have both toured nationally and Dave the vibes player has appeared on Saturday Night Live.And on drums,Vic has performed with countless national talents and has been widely recognized as one of the best jazz/swing drummers around. The jump/swing/big band/crooning vocals of The Swing-O-Matics make them a must see and a must hear !
