About the Artist
Much of Davis and Dow’s music is jazz; standards, bebop, swing, ballads, blues, and originals. Their style is based on their own unique presentation of the music which lies in their arrangements and improvisations. They think and breath as one. They are just a guitar and just a voice, yet completely capable and armed with a full round of sound. Occasionally they play in a group format, which is just an expansion of Davis and Dow. Yet they prefer to be heard as a duo. It is a lost art especially today in this world of mechanized aesthetic and more challenging because you are really naked. That is why They call their new album NAKED; A long awaited release. It has been five years since their debut release ALL SHADES (A success in the critics corner as well as local airplay and sales). NAKED promises a new dimension to Davis and Dow. There is much more closeness accumulated from time well spent, much more interaction; Julie scatting and Kelly playing the same melody lines then harmonizing them then trading fours and so on. Ballads are more generous with feeling and time. Arrangements are more profound. 15 tunes 12 duo , 3 quintet.

In the last two years Davis and Dow have played Grand Cayman, New York, London, Cleveland, Ohio, Savannah, Georgia, and Tokyo, Japan . Then onward to release NAKED in the US Feb 2001 followed by a full promotional and marketing campaign of shows, radio interviews and periodical reviews. Wish the dynamic duo good luck!!!
