Opus 4.7
Editorial Reviews
Product Description
It is the fourth compact of Franois Marcaurelle, this time with a quartet. The CD brings together old colleagues Norman Lachapelle (Karen Young) and Sylvain Provost (La la la Human Steps) and introduces great drummer Denis Mailloux (Michel Petruccianni). OPUS 4.7 shows that Franois Marcaurelle is deeply rooted in jazz tradition - two standards at the menu- while being involved in its evolution- seven originals. Moreover, in performing coherence and musicality, thos for musicians enhance the specific characteristics in Marcaurelle's music.
