About the Artist
Mars 2 Earth is a free-improvisation, electro-acoustic "new music" ensemble consisting of Byard Lancaster (flutes, saxophones, bass clarinet and vocals), Toshi Makihara (percussion and vocals), Vito Ricci (guitars and congas), and Eric Ross (theremin, piano and synthesizer), plus special guest artist Kathleen Kilpatrick (bassoon) on "Theories of Orbit."

Product Description
The organic, electro-acoustic approach of Mars 2 Earth asks the very musical question "Could there be a free-improvisation ensemble that values lyricism and harmony over dissonance and noise...that plays together more like a string quartet than a garage band...that will move you from the heart of space to the funkiest underground?" When you undertake your own mission to Mars with the collaborative explorations of Mars 2 Earth, your answer will be a resounding "Yes!"
