About the Artist
Norman David is a saxophonist, clarinetist, composer, educator, and author. A prolific composer of both jazz and art music, he founded GROUP 4 in early 1999 with the express purpose of performing and presenting original jazz compositions. Dedicated to furthering the cause of new jazz, GROUP 4, since April 1999, has been appearing twice monthly at St. Jack's in downtown Philadelphia. The band also performs at other venues and events in the Philadelphia area and will soon be appearing in New York City.
