About the Artist
Rene Lussier electric guitar, electric bass, daxophone, voice A central figure in Quebec's "musique actuelle" scene, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Rene Lussier has always been devoted to the expression of music which is alive, always in transformation, to be explored and shared. Music populated with abrupt accidentals, links and breakages, tension and gentleness, urgency and humour, rigour and pleasure.
Pierre Tanguay drums, percussions, voice Music: 7 thoughts
1. There are several ways to make oneself heard. Music is one of them. 2. Music is secondary. What comes first is joy. 3. Music is generous. Even when we mistreat it, it's good to us. 4. Music is like fairy tales. Even the wicked witch is charming. 5. It's not easy to live off music. Music lives off us. 6. Listening to music means stopping time, which means having time. 7. Time is not the problem: it never prevents us from having it.

Product Description
Rene Lussier and Pierre Tanguay invite us to explore with them the universe of "La Vie Qui Bat". They hereby present us with their first album entitled "Chevre", which will soon be followed by "Cheveuil".
"Chevre" consists of a series of guitar and drum improvisations which flow like a river`s incessant waves of joy. A colossal collaboration, this duo speaks, discusses, listens to and reveals in a grand, coherent musical discourse.
This album is witness to the great maturity and talent of these oddly-paired musicians: Rene Lussier on guitar like he has been rarely heard on disc since "Chants et danses du monde inanim" and Pierre Tanguay, a drummer of almost every project, but never in evidence as much as here.
Deprivation, simplicity, encounter, pleasure and energy are what`s in store.
