Richard Carr is a native of St. Louis, MO currently living in the French Quarter of New Orleans. He has been performing exclusively in the New Orleans area for the past 3+ years.

Influences on his improvisational approach to composition are Keith Jarrett, George Winston, John Adams, the Russian romantic composers, French impressionist composers, and the 20th American composers.
