dIstance was originally released in 1999 by a European label that went bankrupt before the album was allowed to reach its full potential. During that period, Loescher, the Trio and the album acheived cult status among European audiences. Intentionally recorded in the vein of the early 1960's, the music is characterized by Loescher's profound level of expressionism. Although such a short time has passed since the original release, an album as this should be considered a modern classic and not allowed to idle in archives.
