On the first CD under his own name, John Becker presents a lyrical and heartfelt collection of unique jazz music. John is a talented composer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer who performed all of the sounds on this recording through a process called overdubbing. On his CD, John sings and plays piano, drum set, vibraphone, melodica, and synthesizer. He is an active performing throughout the midwest with such jazz musicians as Gerri Dimaggio and Marilyn Fisher. He is also a frequent performer with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and the Madison Symphony. During his career, John has performed with such well-known artists as Eddie Daniels, the "Whad'ya Know" Trio, and conductors Andre Previn and Michael Tilson Thomas. Though primarily a jazz project, John's Christianity is represented in his version of Amazing Grace and other songs on "Are You in a Band?" Enjoy.
