About the Artist
Charles Miller was born in Chicago, taught music and computer science for 30 years in the Chicago Public Schools. He earned a bachelor degree in music and business from Chicago State University, a Masters in Mass Media Communications from Governors State University, and another Masters in Educational Administration from Chicago State University. While teaching kindergarten Charles began to write songs and has been writing songs for the last 30 years. Creating songs of all types began to dominate his days and nights so he took an early retirement and used his retirement money to produce 3 cds representing his wide musical experience. Too young to retire and too old to accept defeat from record companies he created Penwit Publishing & Communications to promote his music & poetry,and to also create text of prose, with animated musical textbooks for children. Hopefully with the success of the God Blessed "Happy New Years" song Penwit will be a big success. Through the years Charles has sung in niteclubs (the old playboy club and others) and in churches in metropolitan Chicago for the last 3! ! 0 years.
