Product Description
The words that best describes this album is "easy listening instrumental jazz" Each song is different in regard to melody and instrumentation. Some of the melodies are programmatic. When you listen to "Kids & Good Times," you can see little children running, laughing, and playing. Close your eyes and you can see different shades of blue with the title song "Shades of Blue." You can hear the layering of melody with the use of soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones. This CD was produced for the love of music. The purpose was to put something together for everyone to enjoy...easy listening..nothing clever or new...just easy listening.
