About the Artist
Burt Eckoff has played with an impressive list of prominent jazzmen, including Howard McGhee, Maynard Ferguson, Art Blakey, Sonny Stitt, and Archie Shepp. He has accompanied outstanding vocalists such as Dionne Warwick, Dakota Staton, Eddie Jefferson, and the Drifters. He has appeared fequently as a soloist and as a leader of his own trio in the New York city area and also in the West Indies.

His first recording as a leader was released in Japan in 1994 under the Norma label (NLP9000) with Walter Booker on bass and Frank Gant on drums. Also, Mr. Eckoff along with Matthew and Carole Chaet are the producers of the current CD "Ecology".
