Come Out And Play is a lively, entertaining and unique recording featuring songs written and performed by professional musicians and talented high-school students. Highlights include "Got Three Days," (as heard on KINK radio)- an uptempo swing tune about a young man drafted for WWII, "Junk Drive, System Failed"- a Y2K parody of "Jump, Jive, and Wail," and "Route 26"- a rockin' parody about every Oregonian's least favorite highway. Come Out And Play features danceable swing music, along with a variety of related styles, such as rock, New Orleans Cajun, boogie-woogie, and klezmer. A large portion of proceeds from CD sales will benefit Portland school music education programs.
