About the Artist
Suki Rae New York, NY A native Chicagoan, flautist/ singer/ songwriter. She has received international acclaim as a performer for her wide variety of songs. Suki Rae has been playing music since the age of five. A Classically trained flautist, she has an M.A. in Music/Film. Suki has been performing internationally for the last 20 years.
She has three recordings released through Reverence For Life Records; "Cantique de Noel", "Pipedreams", and "Water and Fire". Suki's original recordings "Pipedreams" and "Water and Fire" credit her with the role of producer. Suki is an award winning artist whose credits include ASCAP, Nashville Song Festival, American Song Festival, and a nomination for the Just Plain Folks Award as well as NARS Awards.
Performances include U. Jazz Coalition's Women in Jazz, MUNY's Texaco Bell Atlantic Jazz Festival, Jerusalem Women's Jazz Festival and Michigan Women's Music Festival. She has been a musician in residence in Israel, at Cornell University, and Taos, New Mexico.
In April 2003 one of her children's songs was published in the "Music Box And Other Delights". She has also acted, directed and written for theatre and films, as well as appearing on radio and TV.
She is very excited about the upcoming release of her 4th and 5th recordings, encompassing her original Pop/Rock and Children's/Comedy genres.
