In August 1999, Jackhammer Trio hooked up with Jack Straw producer Doug Haire to record a live performance broadcast for his Sonarchy Radio program on KCMU 90.3 FM. The performance was quintessential Jackhammer Trio, so much so that they decided to remix, master and package the radio show as "Sonarchy and Synergy", their first HipSync release.
