Jeff Bird Long time resident of Guelph Ontario, is best known for his long time association with Cowboy Junkies. His multi-instrumental talents can be heard on the legendary recording The Trinity Session and all Cowboy Junkies' subsequent albums. He has toured extensively with them throughout North America, Europe and Japan and has made appearances on Saturday Night Live, Late night with David Letterman and The Tonight Show.
Jeff is also a founding member of the renowned folk group Tamarack. As a sideman he has performed with such diverse artists as Loreena McKennitt, Graham Townshend, Jane Siberry, Bernie Senensky, Gwen Swick and countless others.

Jeff has composed music for both film and television, including the feature films South of Wawa, House, Niagara Niagara and Boys Club.

Jeff doesn't think of himself as a jazz bassist, we beg to differ.
Product Description
Pure joy and enthusiasm leap from this live recording of six standards performed by Cowboy Junkie sideman, Jeff Bird on bass; rock veteran Randall Coryell on drums and newcomer Witold Grabowiecki on piano.
This happy recording is part of Jeff Bird's ongoing trio project :
"I like to bring together musicians I have made an instant musical connection with in the past and put them into new musical situations with players that they have never met. I like the magic of trios because you can make a lot of noise and three people can really think on their feet. There is a lot of intense listening going on here; trio playing at its best."
