"Joy Spring" is jazz vocalist Kaoruko's self produced disc (co-produced with Bob Pilkington). It starts with "Night In Tunisia," her own truly unique arrangement, followed by gems of the Jazz and Brazilian repertoir. Her interpretatiopn is based on strong jazz tradition and her own personality. Her voice is soothing and delicate. She carefully chose the instrumentation for each selection. The title song, "Joy Spring," is arranged by Bob Pilkington and features her voiced overdubbed into a vocal ensemble. The Brazilian selections have a traditional groove.
