From the Artist
Theres no doubt about it the temperature may soar but it will be one cool night when the Forecast enters the Smooth Jazz stratosphere. The seven member group, featuring Wayne Wofford on Alto Sax presents its own smooth blend of Cool Jazz R&B, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Blues, and Gospel mostly original compositions or arrangements by the groups Musical Director and lead guitarist, Jonathan Floyd.
Wayne Wofford, who plays a gutsy, upbeat, and funky sax, takes you to the edge and keeps you there. Without ever seeming to need a breath, he commands the stage with phenomenal strength and energy against a vast array of keyboards, percussion, drums, guitar, and bass. His solo on Barry Whites "Im Gonna Love You Just A Little Bit More" growls, coos, and cajoles and is almost too hot to be cool. His combination of classic riffs and innovative style on Dewey Bunnels "Tin Man", as arranged by Mr. Floyd, puts you right on the road to Oz. This group is full of magical surprises.
Other members of ForeCast are Michael Wilson on bass, Mark Booker and Sean Jones on Keyboards, Malachi Jackson on drums, Paul Aponte on percussion, Don Celenza on guitar, Jonathan Floyd on guitar and guitar synth.
ForeCast is new on the scene but 20 years in the making most of its members have known each other or played together in various combinations over the years. Mr. Floyd, formerly with the R&B groups J.J. Jumpers and Final Edition, has been featured on several CDs, including Black Rock Coalitions The History of Our Future. Under his own independent label, Malibu Records, Inc. he produced The Choir That Never Sings and the recently released ForeCast CD Did You Hear That?
