About the Artist
Charles Carrington and Nuq-Leus (pronounced Nucleus) have been together since 1999. They have performed throughout the New York Metropolitan area at Concert Halls, Major Night Clubs, Colleges and Churches. Each member is a leader of his own group and often includes other members of Nuq-Leus when they are performing under their own name. All members of the group are teachers, and three are working in the New York City Public School system. Several members have their own CD, and two members are currently in the process of recording their own CD. Each member is a gifted composer, as evidenced by their compositions. Nuq-Leus is comprised of 1 to 3 saxophonists: Jeff King - Tenor Sax, Ricardo Strobert and A. Julian Meyers - both Alto Sax and Flute, Rachiim Asar Sa-Hu - Acoustic Bass, Andrei Strobert -Drums, and Charles Carrington - Piano. Charles' youngest daughter Ebony is debuting solo vocals on "Yes, Jesus Loves Me", along with background vocals from Ricardo's two sons (Andrei's nephews), and some other children who are friends of the musicians and their children.

"After The Love II" contains influences of contemporary, avant garde, gospel, blues, smooth jazz, latin jazz and percussive music from the Mother-land. It is innovative, melodic, energetic, happy, driving, rhythmical, sensative and spiritual. The music has elements of Coltrane, Garrison, Tyner, Adderley, Jones and more. It is the sound of today, played by students of the masters of yesterday. "After The Love II" is our expression of truth and love.
