This CD was recorded pretty much live at Pat and Karen Sample’s Paradise Sound Studio in Index, Washington on the Skykomish River, at the very foot of the north face of Index Mountain. A Ruby for Magic was produced by Vic Norman, engineered by David LaBarre and Pat Sample and mastered by Bob Katz.

This is the third CD released by the Rane Nogales Jazz Quartet and is a tasteful cimpliation of jazz standards mixed in with a few more contemporary tunes like The More I See You, Moondance and Our Day Will Come.
