About the Artist
D'Jazz is a funky horn band that brings a unique blend of modern jazz, R&B, and soul to a fine point. D'Jazz literally means "of Jazz" and they play an instrumental style from a funky remake of Gershwin's "Summertime" to the cool, modern jazz of Gary Short, Mike Loveless, and McCoy Tyner. Make no mistake; D'Jazz is a jazz band to the soul. Relying on spectacular improvisation, they stand apart from the plain-vanilla Smooth Jazz crowd with style and musicianship. These guys lean on the left side of Jazz, though. There's nothing "straight ahead" about them and this isn't your Dad's jazz group. They define the "Cool Jazz" category and have number one downloaded songs with "Steps", "The Sleeping Boy", and "Lazy" on the Amazon.com "Cool Jazz" and "Smooth Jazz" Digital Music Download charts. You've got to check out this band.
