About the Artist
Founded in 1995, Sonic Explorers is an instrumental jazz quintet led by Central Massachusetts based trumpeter/composer Jerry Sabatini. The ensemble consists of trumpet, multi-saxes/flute, piano, double bass and drums. Their repertoire consists of original compositions by leader Jerry Sabatini whose style is influenced by a great love for American modern jazz, Eastern European Folk, Middle and Far Eastern Classical music and 20th/21st Century Western Classical music. Both highly compositional and spontaneously improvisational, their music covers many moods and styles. A truly ground-breaking band performing ground-breaking new music !
