About the Artist
Sons, Brothers & Wrestlers is a New York-based Jazz quintet comprised of Adam Niewood (sax), Justin Kisor (trumpet), Gene Segal (guitar), Miles Brown (bass), and Joey Cangelosi (drums). The group came together in 2001 after playing in various Jazz combos together in New York. The group derives its name from a collective of two sons (Adam and Miles, sons of Jazz legends Gerry Niewood and Steve Brown), one brother (Justin, younger brother of trumpeter Ryan Kisor), and two apparent wrestlers, Gene Segal and Joey Cangelosi.

Their attitude is no less tongue-in-cheek and the group plays with a raw intensity only found in young prodigies. The members hail from New York's finest music institutions, including Julliard and Eastman School of Music, and their progressive and fresh approach to jazz music is sure to define their generation and set a standard for those generations to come.
