Product Description
The trio provides a latin rhythm undercurrent to well known jazz and Brazilian compositions as well as Eager's original composition, "Please Pass The Hot Sauce."
The intelligent and prominent use of congas to match, augment and drive the interplay between guitar and bass sets this recording apart. An alchemy of influences is at work here, with that of Wes being the most salient. Eager uses a pick on only three of the selections on this recording. He once said, "Playing guitar with a pick is like taking a shower with your clothes on."
The foundation for this session is laid with a healthy portion Antonio Carlos Jobim. The recording captures and conveys some of wonderment of Brazil.
The trio's mood is smooth. It is said that you can stand in front of it, converse and enjoy your glass of wine.
Resolution, after continued listening, is as comfortable as sand underfoot. San Diego meets Sao Paolo. Ocean meets the shore. El corazon encuentra l'alma.
Resolution,Ben Eager,BIFFCO MUSIC,This is smooth latin jazz with a Brazilian flavor and a Wes touch.
