LIVE
Editorial Reviews Founded in 1992 by brother and sister duo Chris and Carole Walker, HEAVY WEATHER assumed its name from the landmark Weather Report album of the same name. The Band has survived a myriad of line up changes but always at the eye of the storm you will find the thick pulsating organic bass lines of Chris Walker and the awesome powerful diva like vocals of Carole Walker, who mixes influences that range from Nina Simone to Etta James to create sounds that will capture your ear as well as your heart. The brother and sister combo is joined by seven string wonder John "The BIZKIT" Gentry on Guitar, Danny Sauers handles triple duty on Saxophone, percussion and harmonica and Tim Hensley drops phat super tight beats on Drums. These five individuals form a unique blend of a wide range of influences into a brand new style that will make your soul smile. It does not matter if you slow dance or bang your head, HEAVY WEATHER simply rocks the house. Next time you find yourself caught in HEAVY WEATHER, take the bands advice and "Let the music groove you! Let the music groove you down!" (Lyrics from Heavy Weathers "Jus Gimme Dat Wacky")

Energy and passion have found a partner in music. This partnership has a refreshingly original sound rooted in the old schools of funk, rock and soul. Mixing these elements with the politics of pain and happiness create a sound that can only be described as HEAVY WEATHER. The Music of HEAVY WEATHER cannot be confined to your one-word genres or catch phrases. HEAVY WEATHERS philosophy is based on the GROOVE. The GROOVE is what holds it all together. All of the elements of the past have come together to create this new movement. This 10-song epic captures all of the raw energy of HEAVY WEATHER in the winter of 1999 on its home turf, "RIPLEYS ALIVE".
