Pandemonium

Killing Joke's hard-edged 1994 release is difficult to classify. It's got the power and darker tone of metal, the complexity of progressive rock, the ear-numbing repetitive riffing of techno and the apocalyptic rage of punk. There's a lot to like about Pandemonium, particularly the title track. "Labyrinth", "Whiteout", "Millenium", and "Mathematics of Chaos" are standouts, though the latter suffers from the near impossibility of trying to fit the title phrase into a chorus. While not exception, it's a solid effort. --Genevieve Williams --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.
