Have Faith is a concert account of the man who said "Short lives make good movies," and then set out to prove it. I saw him performing the basic repertoire featured on this 1988 performance. The show I witnessed (which opened--90 minutes late--with "Pipeline," the first track here), was an entertaining mess, with Johnny stumbling about from screwdriver to screwdriver; the cocktails had been placed strategically about the stage so he wouldn't have to venture far for refreshment. The music was incidental to the spectacle. Too much junkie business, indeed. --Steven Stolder --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.
