Who is Dirty Redd? He is a multitalented artist from Milledgeville, Georgia who achieved early success through catching the eye of a promising producer, Gene Yuss. Gene Yuss realized the hit potential in Dirty Redd and began recording demos in various Atlanta studios. During the recording process Dirty Redd teamed up with his life long friend Kid Ego to form the group "Hit N Run". The duo recorded and pressed up one of their songs that led them to signing a deal with Polygram. The deal was short lived though because of the unexpected death of Kid Ego. Due to this tragedy, Polygram decided to drop the single as well as the group. In order to relieve some of the pain and hurt, Dirty Redd decided to walk away from the music industry. After washing away the pain, he began to approach his music career with a greater focus and determination. Dirty Redd and producer Gene Yuss reunited and recorded "Whatcha Ridin In?" This song charted in the southeast and sold over 1,500! units in 2001. The success of this single gave reason for more recordings from Dirty and producer, Gene Yuss, and a self released CD that has created a buzz on the streets.
