This studio set gives some idea of the roughhouse pleasure to be found in Barnes's Greenville, Mississippi, Playboy Club on most Friday and Saturday nights. Decidedly unconcerned with structure or niceties, Barnes throttles songs about forlorn romance and wayward libido with clamant singing, an unforgiving electric guitar, and a restless harmonica.
