Jazz/Blues pianists able to present a concert all by themselves have become rare... COPLEY has the courage and ability to do so. Piano blues trio recorded in Paris during a strenuous engagement of 4 weeks. On the second of only 2 nights off, during the third week, these musicians gave of their time to go into a legendary Parisian studio used by Memphis Slim with a full Steinway grand, and just play what they had been playing for the swing dancers at the Caveau de la Huchette in the Latin Quarter. No overdubs, just the straight stuff. Picked by the French edition of "Keyboard" magazine as Number 2 Album of the Year in 1995.
