This Austin band, fronted by singer Keri Leigh and guitarist Mark Lyon, conceives of the blues as a tradition, and it favors historical material from Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Son House, etc. But there's no explication (let alone interpretation), nor any sensibility evident, and the competently performed music just sits there, unexceptional and short-lived. -- © Frank John Hadley 1993
